SOLAR BATTERIES FOR AUTOMATIC GATES

Cheating on the maths when working with solar will bring your installation unstuck every time and selection of the wrong battery will also bring frustration and tears. Car and truck batteries as well as deep cycle batteries will simply have short lives. It has taken us years of testing to arrive at this range and we suggest choosing the correct model every time.
The batteries below are all 12 volt. Use two batteries in series for 24 volt systems. Batteries are rated by “amp hours” which simply means the larger the amp hours – the bigger the tank and therefore the longer the tank lasts without filling.
