Description
Manufactured by Beninca in Italy the TOM series of linear actuators use a very powerful 24 volt swing gate electro mechanical operator. What makes TOM so special (and yes a little more expensive than most) is just below the top shaft cover. Easily accessible and adjustable mechanical stops. That along with ability to wire encoders makes the TOM highly adaptable to difficult sites where physical stops may be a problem to install. The TOM is a non reversible operator with key operated manual override but one of the main benefits of the 24 volt motor is the ability to use battery backup meaning you may never have to use the manual override key.
Reliable and innovative gear motor, thanks to the 2 adjustable mechanical stops in opening and closing accessible from above and positioned under the metal cover of the shaft. Ideal for the automation of any type of swing gate thanks also to the compact footprints (only 96 mm width) and screw-in brackets. The 45° inclination of the wiring cable allows the distance from the ground to be reduced to a minimum. The rear and front brackets, aligned on the same axis, enable the better distribution of loads by optimizing the lifespan of the actuator. The worm screw protected by wiper ring and stainless steel shaft make it suitable for dusty or sandy environments, or places with aggressive weather conditions
It is possible to use a variety of control boards to control the TOM but the factory designed board is the BRAINY which can be used as a one or two motor controller with a host of programmable parameters.
•At just 96 cm wide, the TOM telescopic linear motor for swing gates 3 to 5 metres long.
•TOM features adjustable mechanical stops for opening and closing, patented FACE gears and a bronze release wheel with customised key.
•The 24 Vdc version, also guarantees standby power consumption of less than 0.8 W.
HIGH-QUALITY COMPONENTS
The release wheel is made of bronze to maximise its life, reliability, and operation. The worm gear is protected by a wiper seal and a stainless-steel shaft, making it suitable for use in dusty, sandy or harsh environments.
COMPACT DESIGN
Thanks to its compact dimensions, just 96 mm wide, TOM adapts to any situation. The 45° inclination of the cable also means that the operator can be installed flush with the floor.
EASY ACCESS TO MECHANICAL STOPS
The adjustable stops at the top are accessible once the metal cover has been slid back. These stops slide on rails and can be easily fixed in the desired position using screws.
FASTENERS DESIGNED FOR MAXIMUM ADAPTABILITY
The rear articulation, which can be fixed in three positions, reduces space requirements by adjusting for any misalignment of the panel during movement. The alignment of the front and rear brackets also ensures better load distribution by reducing bending, guaranteeing axial thrust and optimising operator life.
